COVID-19 Announcement

Midwest Community Title

As we all navigate Coronavirus (COVID-19), Midwest Community Title is dedicated to continuing to provide high quality customer service. To keep our clients, community, employees, and families safe, we are following the Iowa/ Illinois Department of Public Health and CDC guidance for our business operations.

What This Means For You

Your daily interactions with Midwest Community Title should change very little. To help slow the spread, we have closed our office to the public, limited real estate closing to essential parties only, and have some staff working remotely.

Our business continuity team is communicating daily to review processes, workflows, and technology to ensure we continue to deliver exceptional client service and adhere to all security and data policy best practices.

You can continue to connect with us by emailing orders to Midwest@MWCTitle.com or submitting an Order online at www.mwctitle.com.

Additional Real Estate Closing and Settlement Procedures

Effective immediately we will practice social distancing at closing and limit participation to necessary parties only. (Buyers/Borrowers)

We ask real estate agents to drop off their original Seller closing packets and any other documents to be signed for the closing. Upon request, we will email you signed copies after the closing.

Closing docs are being highlighted for signature areas; and when presented we are keeping our distance, handing the entire package to clients, and having them sign, answering/explaining info where necessary.

We will provide unused pens that the borrowers can take with them or throw away immediately after closing. We will no longer use pens that are sitting out at a closing table.

We will have Lysol, Bleach Wipes that can be used to wipe down tables prior to, and after each closing.

Due to several Court Houses closings we will have an additional affidavit that all parties will be required to sign at closing.

We are taking these actions to protect everyone and to slow the spread of the virus. Thank you for your cooperation during this unprecedented time.
